POULTRY INFORMATION EXCHANGE (PIX): A celebration of innovation and knowledge.

The poultry world has undergone significant transformations in recent decades, and the role that the POULTRY INFORMATION EXCHANGE (PIX) plays in these dynamics is undeniable. With over 50 years of history, PIX has established itself as the preferred forum for information exchange, being recognized as the main annual event on the poultry industry calendar in Australia.

With each edition, PIX has evolved not only in magnitude but also in concept and prestige. The primary purpose of the event is to bring together industry professionals to share knowledge, innovations, and generate revolutionary ideas that propel poultry farming to the next level.

Over the years, PIX has evolved from being merely an information exchange forum to becoming an event that reflects the dynamics and steady growth of the poultry industry in Australia. The primary focus of PIX has always been to bring together professionals and industry experts to share and absorb knowledge, ideas, and innovative techniques.

In 2024, PIX, in collaboration with Australian Pork Limited and the Australasian Milling Conference, presents “Food with Purpose,” a joint effort aiming to further unify and empower the poultry, pork, and milling industries. This edition will feature over 200 booths, making it the largest exhibition to date. Additionally, the event’s program has been revamped to maximize learning and networking opportunities over three intensive days.

AUSTRALASIAN MILLING CONFERENCE (AMC).

On the other hand, AMC represents a broader initiative of several associations, including the Australian Technical Millers Association (ATMA), the Feed Ingredients and Additives Association of Australia (FIAAA), and the Stock Feed Manufacturers Council of Australia (SFMCA). It is the leading conference in Australia for food, ingredient, and flour millers. AMC 2024 will be the 17th edition of this conference and will attract over 350 delegates not only from Australia but also from New Zealand, Oceania, and Southeast Asia.

AUSTRALIAN PORK LIMITED (APL).

APL serves as the national representative for Australian pork producers. As a non-profit company owned by producers, its primary mission is to enhance the viability of the Australian pork industry. In 2024, APL joins PIX and AMC with a focus on introducing new technologies, equipment, and knowledge to its producers.

Acknowledgment to the traditional owners.

The City of Gold Coast acknowledges and respects the Traditional Owners of the land it governs. In recent years, both government departments and public and private organizations have established protocols that recognize and pay due respect to Australia’s original inhabitants. Specifically, we recognize the people of the Yugambeh linguistic region, traditional owners of the land on which we stand, and express our respect to their elders, past and present, as well as all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples present today.

With events like PIX, Australia reinforces its position as a leader in poultry, milling, and pork production, projecting an inclusive and respectful vision towards the future.

The POULTRY INFORMATION EXCHANGE (PIX), along with the valuable collaborations of AMC and APL, stands as a beacon of knowledge and innovation in the poultry and related industries. These events not only drive technical and business development but also promote cultural exchange and respectful recognition of traditions. The synergy between these organizations, complemented by Australia’s rich history and diversity, marks a promising horizon for the sector, ensuring that poultry, pork, and milling continue to thrive and adapt to future challenges. It’s evident that, in this framework of collaboration and mutual respect, the industry has all the necessary ingredients to continue its journey towards excellence and sustainability.
